Sometimes the city's own residents take for granted the gem they have in their possession. People in Northern Virginia who moved there from Pittsburgh think I'm "nuts" to want to trade the "glamour" of cul-de-sacs, McMansions, big-box stores, parking lots, etc. that Fairfax County is famous for in favor of a place like Mt. Washington, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, or the Mexican War Streets.

I used to live in MD-around Gaithersburg-I liked it but the people were snobby-plus I was in college and didn't have two cents to my name-
I was in Pittsburgh for four days so I'm not sure about the neighborhoods-I really liked it though...it's better than FL-

dnvrsoul, where did you eat? We've lived here now for 3 months and I've been hard pressed to find food I would consider 'the BEST'. Clearly we're not trying the right places so I'd love to try some of the places you liked.

Went to the Grand Concourse, Primanti Bros, and the SOBA Lounge ( I think that what it was called) we also went to some chain restaurants that are not in Florida-UNO, Red Robin...
