i have to go with chris moore on KDKA radio, not because i agree with his politics 100%, but because he keeps it real

the dude is old-school to the max, isn't afraid to discuss conspiracy theories, takes callers from all over the political spectrum and he's a veteran of the vietnam war (what's more real than that)

he's clearly a progressive liberal but doesn't hit the audience over the head with his politics, like lynne and mangino whose every other sentence seems to include the word "mask"

"If I could have everyone in the world listen to me for 10 minutes, I would tell them ... That we don't have to invade countries and support despots to attract people to democracy and the American way of life, at the butt of a weapon. All we have to do is to export our music, blue jeans and fast food. Returning to Vietnam in 2006, where I served in 1970 in the Army, I saw Kentucky Fried Chicken places everywhere. They love anything American, and when those nations get as fat and lethargic as we are, then UPMC can take over their hospitals and treat them for diabetes and the other maladies associated with becoming a couch potato that we Americans now suffer. We could own the world by just exporting our culture, not our bullets."

I like Andy Sheehan. No nonsense. His dad was legendary running guru writer George Sheehan.

Check out Andy's book about his dad "Chasing the Hawk". Would make a great movie.

Agree on Chris Moore, pretty balanced KDKA host, wish he was on in Marty's spot.

my theory about marty is IT'S IN HIS CONTRACT that he has to have rich fitzgerald on the show - in other words, marty's show, which probably has horrible ratings because all he does is complain while living in the most expensive part of mt lebanon, is on the air for one reason - so FITZ can talk to the public (which peduto refuses to do even though he's the goddamn mayor)

it's really the COUNTY GOVERNMENT SHOW and marty is just there to introduce him and then talk until the time-slot ends

Mark Madden. Covers most everything including sports, politics, current and local events, etc..., in 3 hours a day, and no nonsense. It’s very refreshing.

Copy that. There are times when I have to change the channel, but he knows his stuff.

I was quite impressed with Adam Crowley, who filled in for Madden last week.

I found him to be a 3 hour mix of Madden and Tim Benz, and his voice is even similar to Benz. If he was doing the show today he would have had a lot of “I told ya so” commentary.
