Wiz Khalifa is from Pittsburgh and now has a Top 40 hit, congratulations are in order.
AMEN to that!

Do not ever presume to know what I prefer in music, that is, real music, not noise. I am not weak minded enough to "worship" any band.

Absolutely! His "music" is timeless!

If everybody had the same tastes, nobody would regret the lack of variety. Nobody would even notice it. Do you ever lament that your cellular respiration depends exclusively on Oxygen?

(I sometimes wish my cells could metabolize Argon, you know, just for a change of pace...)

(And I know that has nothing to do with the topic, but the discussion is really going nowhere anyway.)

Wiz - gets busted with a bag of herbal

Ray Charles - total junkie for several years

Eric Clapton - total junkie for several years

Keith Richards - has done more drugs than the rest of mankind in his 164 years on the planet

Who is worse?

The music world is littered with examples of excess and bad behavior. I don't see the problem with Wiz 420'ing himself into a red-eyed stupor.

Even before rock-and-roll most musicians were at least drinking alcohol. You'd have to be into The Music of the Prohibitionists in order to try to avoid musicians who used mind-altering substances (and I wouldn't count on them even so).

Not likely. The issue dated November 20, 2010 got its tally from radio airplay during a period beginning November 3 and ending November 9, and sales during a period beginning November 1 and ending November 7. Wiz Khalifa was arrested for marijuana possession on November 9, at the tail end of the airplay period.

And it wasn't until the story broke that he had his own dedicated thread on C-D Forums. Coincidence?
