How about anywhere you set your foot into is dangerous? Really, I think there are far more dangerous places than parts of Western PA.

Ok... I comprised this list because I know some nieborghoods are more rough(yes I know how to spell) than others... So no I didn't go to the police!
When I posted a certain nieborghood with "-livable" behind it I ment that it's still a rough/edgy nieborghood, but if your a city person you could make it there.
If I posted "Tie" in front of several nieborghoods that were near each other it's because they're not much different, same amount of crime, just a different technical nieborghood.
With the categories well Homewood is a notable bit more dangerous than say Perry South (difference between category 1 vs. category 2). Perry South is a notable bit more dangerous than Elliot or the West End (difference between category 2 vs. category 3).
In my opinion if you know and notice how edgy/rough a nieborghood is anyone could post this list, you don't have go to the police.

Overall, I agree with your list, however I think most of McKees Rocks is liveable. I think I would place McKees Rocks and Crafton Heights in tier 3. I would probably put Braddock, North Braddock, South Oakland, and parts of Sheraden under tier 3 as well. They all seem liveable to me (Braddock being the worst, I suppose).

Then again, I think most of the hoods in Pittsburgh are liveable. The ones I would personally avoid living in are Homewood, Hill District, and large sections of Lincoln-Lemington. The "bad parts" of the North Side have a reputation, but a lot of people risk it to enjoy the beautiful historic homes there. I would.
