I think the bowling pins were fake.

You can be. With all those leaves in the original, who can tell what branches shouldn't be there? And you can doctor the photo down to the pixel level.

The fact we don't have kids is we never wanted them -- had nothing to do with the steel bust.
Of my brother and I and two cousins, all within two years of age of each other, all left. My brother moved back in his late 40s. My bro and I are the only ones of that group to have kids.

My BFF is one of four kids. All left. She has a few cousins still there. My BFF doesn't have kids, but her sibs all do.

Most of my classmates have moved away, too. It's interesting to go to the class reunions and see where they live. I was really surprised to go to DH's reunion in Omaha and see that so many still live there. Very different. We graduated within a year of each other; he in 1966 and me in 1967 (Beaver Falls High School).

I agree. Although I have a small fenced yard , it's a 7 minute drive for me to take her (my dog) to a 350 acre park with wooded trails. Even rural areas ( aside from rails-to-trails or state parks) don't always have trails.

The most dangerous thing I have ever seen while at the city park was during last Fall my dog and I saw a coyote cross the road about 100 yards in front of us. The coyote did not stop ,or even have the slightest bit of interest in us.

You didn't even live in an urban neighborhood in Pittsburgh. You're from Beaver Falls which is a much smaller town that's 50 miles away.

Since I live on a narrow brick street we throw a football or baseball and some of the younger kids play a pick up game of hockey with a goalie net set in the middle of the street.Needless to say skate boarding is a little tricky on brick, unless you love flying forward head over heels!

During Spring and Summer block party/ multi family yard sales are popular on weekends and a great way to catch up with people you know as well as meet new people that are new to the neighborhood.

LOL, your confidence in my abilities warms me up on this chilly day! So.... it's going to snow tonight. Do you want photos taken today or shall I wait until tomorrow so the snow outlines all the branches?

Well I did live in Pittsburgh, the city, during college and after for a while, which is what I was referring to.

Also, it is about 25 miles from the house I grew up in to the Pittsburgh city limits. We did have neighborhood parties there.
