What kind of things does your wife like/dislike? Gotta give us a little more to go on. How much money are you looking to spend? What day of the week/time of day?

Budget is about $100-$300.

On a Tuesday.

She's into a lot of stuff so there are no real dislikes.

Rent a room downtown at the Renaissance hotel, attend a play at the city theatre, have a few drinks at any of a ton of watering holes, go back to the hotel, the rest is up to you.

I agree it would help if you could narrow things down a little. Personally, I think of birthdays as a time to indulge someone in something they like but wouldn't ordinarily do for themselves, so the obvious question is what counts as something like that for your wife.

Edit: That said, a night in the Cultural District, as suggested above, is a pretty good idea. That should be doable for under $300.

Take her to the casino over on the North Shore. Its not limited to only gambling. There's a few good restaurants in there to choose from and entertainment as well.

Camelot is now at the O'Reilly Theater, which is right around the corner from the Renaisssance!

It's my favorite theater, and if she likes musicals, she will love seeing one there.

I would go to visit pittsburgh's website and look around. They usually have a large selection of things to do.
