I have a friend on my FB page who is a Pittburgh resident and Packers fan. I've been considering removing him. Just kidding. But seriously...

I think you'll be safe heading out, but yeah, expect a possible razzing if they don't win.

Hough's is nice, I accidently wore Maple Leaf hoodie there during a Leaf Penguin game. Nobody said anything! I felt stupid, I didn't know there was a game. I grabbed it (my son's jacket) at the last minute because it was chilly out. It wasn't a playoff game though.

I would guess Hough's is hardcore Steelers.

I believe Mario's in the South Side is listed as a Packer bar.

I am a Packers fan and will be watching the game from the safety of my own home. I love the Steelers too but grew up in a part of the country without an NFL team and latched on to the Packers as a kid. This was in the 80s when they were really, really bad. I was always fascinated that a city the size of Erie could have its own team. Packers fans and Steelers fans (and in many ways Wisconsin and Western Pa) are very much alike.

Let's hope the Superbowl can be as exciting as the Packers-Steelers game last year.

Yea, I saw somewhere that Mario's was a Packers bar too- same with Carson City Saloon. Though it's a good place to watch the game, and a bar tender there is a GB fan, it's definitely not the place where Packers fans congregate. I don't think there is a critical mass of fans here to create a meet-up group.

Why am I thinking there's someone surnamed Mankowski posting in this thread--or is a friend of someone posting in this thread--somewhere???

(I only ask because during my days of Pittsburgh residence, I used to know a guy named Brian who was also an ardent Packers fan.)

Haven't decided where I'll be watching the game yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing my Oregon Ducks shirt. Go Ducks!

I moved to Pittsburgh in '08 and have been looking ever since for a good place to watch the game with other fans. Finally found something!

All Star Sports Bar--it isn't Packers-only, but apparently there are multiple Packers fans there every game. I went today and met several!

6302 Robinson Town Center Blvd
Pittsburgh, PA 15205
Robinson All Star Sports Bar & Grill, Robinson, PA, Pittsburgh, Mall at Robinson, Route 60, Moon, Crafton

Oh, and there is now a meetup group, but the guy who started it up may not keep it for long. He started a facebook page, but it's early yet and needs more members.

Hope these resources help!

Where? In post #2 of this year-old thread?

(It's ok. We don't expect Packers fans to be able to keep up. )
