You know how many times I've seen a claim like that and there's nobody there? I've been to every credible listing I've found, and many non-credible leads, only to give up in disgust. Heck, once not only were there no Packers fans there, there was no there there. The address didn't exist, and nobody in the neighborhood had even heard of the bar. I saw that post and just mentally added it to the giant pile of steaming false hope I've experienced since moving here.

Just like McCarthy's family's bar, which is also on that thread.
Just like Mario's South Side, which will NEVER be as Packers-friendly as they claim they are. (Good luck even finding a seat! What a joke.)
Just like Fox and Hounds, which is listed as a Packers bar on Packers Everywhere.
Just like Buffalo Wild Wings, which was suggested on PackerChatters a few years back.

Now I know better than to believe anything about Packers fans in Pittsburgh that I only saw once in some forum like this one, or only saw in a newspaper article during postseason. Besides, that thread only says that out-of-town fans can see the game, and nothing about Packers fans in particular congregating there. Which doesn't make it any better than sitting alone in a booth at the local Damon's, where there's probably some dude rooting for Cleveland and another rooting for New England (also sitting there alone). The point is to socialize with other Packers fans, not JUST to find a bar that has Sunday Ticket.

Besides, you seem to have missed the point of my post. Ann_Arbor said she couldn't find a good place AND that there was not a critical mass for a meetup.com meetup group. There is one. Small, very new, not very active yet, but there IS one.

I was trying to be helpful. You were just trying to be snarky.

Which was it, the big grin, or the winking smiley that made me look snarky? Lighten up.

(If it was the italicized reference to the age of the thread, well, it is a year old.)

It probably has to do with your being in Beaver County. It's well known that the further from the center of Pittsburgh you get, the righter you are.

(There, now I've been snarky to almost the whole board. I feel karma coming into better balance...)

Why so serious?

If you can't take a little needling, it's no wonder it's taken you so long to find an acceptable place to watch the game.

Besides, I was poking fun at myself, but hey....

You're in a town dominated by fans of the home town team only. Never said it wasn't tough.
