Oh well. It's not like today's youth are worth saving.

Oh well, they would have probably skipped if they had to start on time the morning after. At least our test scores are going up right?

I think it makes sense. PPS serves the entire city. Many kids will live in areas where people will be out screaming and partying all night if there's a win (South Side, Oakland, the list goes on...). Or what will they do if, WORSE, we lose? School buildings could be destroyed, homes, buses, etc. It's only 2 hours...who cares?

It's a good idea. With the students and teachers tired (and possibly hungover) from staying up late, it's doubtful the kids would have learned much while barely awake. An extra two hours of sleep for everyone will cut down on absences and increase productivity.

I don't think a two hour delay is going to cure a hangover. Let's just say if the kids don't learn anything, it proabably isn't thier fault.

Well, on a different note, I have paid vacation with my employer--so I took Monday AND Tuesday off as a little mid-February vacation! But, from the sounds of it, there should be NO fun in life and ZERO perks. The people that feel this way are also probably the same people that walked 15 miles one way to school in blizzard conditions.

Whatever, they're kids, let them enjoy it. Anyone who is half a Steelers fan is just going to use that as an excuse Monday morning anyway. Kudos to PPS for being smart and attempting to handle the inevitable.

Being educational is dubious at best, but being historical is damn right. That was trophy #6, the one that put us on top of the entire league.

Didn't kids used to skip school to attend baseball games back in the day?
