Yeah there's absolutely no chance that it was incidental contact with Steckel. He may not have meant to hit him like he did but he was fully aware of his surroundings. The NHL just chooses to think otherwise to avoid a difficult situation I think.

Either way things like that happen in hockey. You're gonna get hit. It's a shame that Sid was unlucky enough to be injured and I hope that they're just being extremely cautious with his return.

Sidney is now back In sewickley. Saw him on Beaver Street outside the Starbucks earlier today ( Tuesday ) he was dressed in plain clothes and was alone, although several people were giving him hello's and easy talk. He seemed to be smiling and looked a-ok. I asked a friend that owns a business in Sewickley and knows Sid and he said that he saw Sidney today as well and that he seemed to look and act as he always does, pleasant. So he is back in town.

Thanks. I can't imagine how bad his bell was rung to be out that long. Hope he takes his time coming back. I think we need a few more thugs on our team to keep some other team's players in check. Someone like Georges Laraque was way back in his prime. Just send someone like that in when needed.
