"Black And Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa.

Of course it doesn't make up for losing the Super Bowl, but it's still kind of cool that a song about Pittsburgh and the Steelers has become the most popular song in the United States of America for at least one week.

Pittsburgh and the Steelers? Where?

WIZ KHALIFA - BLACK AND YELLOW LYRICS

(Thought about copying and pasting them here, but I think there'd have been an over abundance of ****** asterisks...)

On edit: (And yeah, ok, maybe it mentions his "town", but it never references Pittsburgh by name or nickname. Maybe the color scheme of his car is inspired by the Steeler's colors, but it's still about a car...)

(And drugs.)

The music video shows quite a few images of the city and its surroundings, including several skyline images, bridges, and the smokestacks at The Waterfront.

Perhaps it's more of an indication of just how bad music has become. Like "Black and Yellow," all of the other songs on that top ten list are terrible. No, not just bad, but actually terrible. And like some of the other posters mentioned, it's debatable as to just how much Wiz's crappy song is about Pittsburgh.

Precisely. Someone was just berating WTAE on their Facebook for not including this as one of the Steeler "fight" songs. I told them just because a song becomes a song gets #1 from any kind of American music ranking company doesn't mean it's great.

UH-oh!

Classical moral dilemma. Somebody from Cleveland just dissed something from Da Burgh. How to respond??

The song and most of today's music is pretty sad. Most of it is so simple it defies logic. The song got to number one because of the Steeler fans. That is pretty obvious. We have the most fans that travel and are so intense about the team. We lost the big game, but we did make it there again. The franchise is pretty amazing. Most of the team will be back next year and I suspect we will be in the playoffs again. A great run to be enjoyed. I am sure it won't go on forever, but it is impressive how many years they have had winning seasons and do quite well. Better than being in the cellar year after year like so many other teams.
