Looking for potential detour route options, should the "bathtub" on the parkway flood tomorrow and the road close. Looking to be in that area tomorrow around 5am, coming from the Monroeville area heading for the Pitt Int airport. Your help with directions, is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help!

You can probably exit off at Grant Street and use the Boulevard of the Allies, Smithfield Street (Bridge), Carson Street and the West End Circle to find your way over to the Parkway West, and you'd bypass the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel in the process.

Take the Blvd of the Allies and on to the liberty bridge / tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel just run Rt. 51 north back to the parkway west and out to the airport.

The standard detour will be to exit at Grant St., take Ft Pitt Blvd., and get right back on at the ramp at Stanwix St. At 5 a.m. I'm not sure that would be all that bad. The Ft Pitt Bridge and Tunnel won't be bad, because the bottle neck will be before them.

For the afternoon rush hour, it'll back up the inbound Parkway to around Squirell Hill...

Yeah, should be fine at 5:00 Adds a couple of minutes probably with traffic lights, surface streets, maybe 5 min if you have the worst luck with lights. Can't imagine traffic being a factor at that time except if there's an accident.
