Hi everyone:

I've been on this forum for quite sometime and really enjoy it.

I work at Station Square, but have lived out in Washington Township, Westmoreland County all of my life. I've been doing the drive for a few years now and it really doesn't bother me. However, with gas prices skyrocketing and miles adding up like crazy on my new vehicle, I think it's time for a small life change!

I would like to move into a rental property in the city limits by the summer months. I'm going to list my "ideals" ... some of these are flexible, but in a perfect world, here is what I'd find:

Location: Mt. Washington neighborhood - This is flexible, but I want to be REALLY close to work...if I'm moving, I'm doing it right!

Bedrooms: 3 (This is a must)

Parking: Off-street of some sort...small drive-way, garage would be ideal

Cost: No more than 900 + utilities

A small front or back patio/porch...I just need a place to sit out and enjoy the weather!

If anyone knows of any rental properties that would fit this description or would be similar, I would really appreciate a heads up. I've tried looking on Craigslist and the rare chance that I inquire about something, no one calls back, it's a scam, it's this, it's that, yada yada. I've heard of many people finding some good "gems" via Craigslist, but my luck has not been the same!

Any input anyone has is appreciated!

i will definitely keep you in mind.

congratulations, though, on being a responsible person who is taking your matters into your own hand, instead of just whining about gas prices and blaming government. you are biting the bullet and making a lifestyle change.

Thanks! Yeah, I figure that when gas levels off around $4 a gallon, my fill-ups are going to be approaching $90+ a week...and that's no more running around except to and from work. That's just absurdity. I'd like to be closer to the city anyways, so what better of a time to do so! Changing my commute from 30 miles one way to about 3 miles one way, will be glorious! Not to mention, depending on location, I could possibly walk to the Incline and never move my vehicle!

So, yes, please, if something crosses your plate, I'd greatly appreciate hearing about it.

I pm'ed you. I had dialogue with a guy who is connected with everyone up there. He was helping me before I decided on another 'hood. He isn't a realtor, but knows a ton of people.
