That property is some of the most sought after property in Pittsburgh because of the view of the point and the arenas and down the river valley, they are more than likely going to go through demolition and then sell off the property when they are unable to "acquire" the needed financing and they will make boats load of money off the deal, because that property will be worth over a million dollars easily so they are never going to lose out, they will sell out to another developer make their money and then a few high end homes will be built and that will be the end of that, so do not get hopes up this was just a maneuver for some fast cash and to get the city to approve the demolition work, you will be lucky if they go any further before they declare bankruptcy or lack of funding. If it took 30 years just to have the building torn down, what makes you think rebuilding will happen anytime soon? Would've been much better off remodeling the former building into a restaurant/condos.

The old building was beyond repair.
