with 2 or 3 room mates it can open up options almost anywhere. Someone said Mt. Washington would be out of the budget, but I looked at a place there that was $900/month, 3 bed rooms, 2 baths, two floors and all utilities included up in Mt. Washington. You have to get creative at times to find the right place and get help. I contacted numerous neighborhood business development people and all of them gave me a hand while searching. Also try padmapper.com, it is a great tool; I found my place there.
