What is it like? Tell me what you like/dislike ..

My husband and I are thinking about moving to lower burrell or natrona heights. I grew up near Kittanning so I know the area a little.

We now live in the city near McKees Rocks. This is where my husband grew up and we don't like it there. It is not a good place to live or raise a family. I guess things were different 25 years ago when he was growing up but its not somewhere we want to raise a family and the schools in the area are horrible.

We are planning to buy a home in the next six months to a year. We want to live somewhere safe/quiet and laid back. Not interested in uppity or snobbish neighborhoods & we fit in best with average middle class. We might start a family in the next few years and want to live somewhere that is down to earth and has good potential that is less than 30mi from downtown. I guess we picked Lower Burrell because it is closer to family, it has the appeal of not being in the city, lower wage tax, and we've driven around a few times and it just seems like a nice community to live in. I have a good vibe about it ... am I missing anything?

Do you think LB is good choice?

I think Lower Burrell and Natrona Heights are good choices. I've been shopping in both for over 20 years. I'd choose LB.

LB isn't bad.

I'd vote Natrona Heights though, especially near Alle-Kiski Medical Center. There are also other great neighborhoods throughout the town in which to choose!
