Regent Square, Shadyside, and Squirrel Hill.

Also parts of East Liberty, Point Breeze, Lawrenceville, Boomfield, and SouthSide.

Ugh, please tell me you're talking about gypsies and not hipster losers that are in their 30s, wear skinny jeans, and play in a lame band that sounds like a even more homoerotic version of dashboard confessional.

Northside near Progress and Chestnut St. near the Heinz plant had Pittsburgh's only Bohemian ethnic church, St. Wencelaus, which closed a piece back. I'm not sure how many Bohemians are left in the old neighborhood however.

If we were on Facebook, I would "like" this comment.

Lawrenceville and Bloomfield are probably the most trendy/hipster/artsy neighborhoods.

South Side too. We are surrounded by Bohemia, aren't we?

There are some trendy areas. Shadyside, Regent Square, parts of Lawrenceville, parts of Squirrell hill. But if your looking for something akin to a Greenwich Village in NYC or a Wicker Park in Chicago, you won't find it here.

Not Point Breeze. It's urban suburbia.

Shadyside and Squirrel Hill don't qualify---especially Shadyside.

Maybe Bloomfield and Regent Square, but not really.

Southside and Lawrenceville are the most bohemian we have, but they're not even close to being like Greenwich Village. No way. No how.

Iif the OP is looking for street performers, she needs to know she won't find that here.

I'm (he) is more interested in the artsy type. Don't particularly care for hipsters or street performers. However, I have been known to venture into hipster neighborhoods like those of williamsburgh and east village of NYC.
