Where is the best place to read and learn about interesting events coming up in the Burgh? Do you check the Tribune? City Paper? Something else?

City Paper seems to work the best for me. If I'm looking for a broader range of concerts going on I check Pollstar or the individual venue websites themselves. If you're looking for film events you'll have to check individual venue websites (Oaks Theater, Hollywood Theater, etc.). Sometimes I get good info about stuff right here on City Data.

I guess what I'm most curious about is online resources. City Paper seems to have a decent site as well.

That is why I like it. It seems reasonably comprehensive, and I find it easy to navigate/filter their online version.

City Paper covers more underground events that normally wouldn't be featured in the PG or Trib.
