I remember one summer night when it rained when I lived there. More than a few people in Santa Monica came out banging pots and pans.

FIOS has Channel 2 on 2, Channel 4 on 4, Channel 11 on 11. It's refreshing.

Most stations have to good sense to not integrate a channel number into their name. Instead of calling your station "Channel 11 Fox 53" how about something crazy, like, oh idk . . . "Fox".

I don't hunt and I don't fish but I like the idea of gettting away for the weekend with my family. I would prefer that it would't be a mobile home crammed into a campground. My worry is that we, my wife and two boys ages 3 and 4, won't use it enough. I am especially worried because at some point my boys will get into sports and their activities will prevent us form getting away. Does anyone have a camp? Does your family like going there? Location? Is this reasonable for my budget?

A lake house sounds nice but pretty much every lake around here has gotten pricey. I know there are some smaller lakes in Ohio. Anyone been to some of these?
There are a lot of places in Ohio like that. You might want to check out Lake Milton. We have friends that own a cottage up on Lake Erie that they paid $10k for (some are $30k-$40k). Check out the area around Geneva-on-the-Lake. Our friend's cottage has a kitchen, small living room, bedroom, and a full bath. It's located on a private road in a little town east of Geneva called Saybrook. All the neighbors there share things like golf carts, jet skis, etc. They also have a private beach that everyone on that street shares and it's just a really good time.

Yeah, I was in my car in the SF Valley, this past Jan. was it? When we actually got some snow! People were pulled over, pouring out of shops and office buildings, faces upturned, mouths wide open, cell phone cameras out, and of course then it stopped.

Or, if you prefer, I'm also passing around strawberry margaritas. Maybe it's just 3:00 right now but it's 5:00 somewhere, right?
