Upper Mon Valley: 48
McKeesport: 21
Duquense: 14
Clairton: 7
North Versailles: 4
West Mifflen (Midway Drive): 2

Hoods near the Waterfront: 13
Hazelwood: 7
Homestead: 5
Glen Hazel: 1
South Oakland: 0

Mon River/ Woodland Hills Towns: 10
North Braddock: 5
Swissvale: 3
Braddock: 1
Rankin: 1

These three could probably all be combined into one group under the name "Upper Mon Valley", since all of these communities border the Mon River from South Oakland all of the way down to where the river enters the county.

This would give the Upper Mon Valley 71 homicides total, only 4 less than the East End.

You should use it in your title instead of Senior Member or the status line below it.

Thanks, Uptown - how about a list of neighborhoods where people let their dogs poo on lawns and don't pick it up?

No place in Pittsburgh has too much dog poo. Although I know a girl who once steped on "poo," in the Strip, yet there's not too many dogs walking around there..

Still nice and peaceful here at Charles Street and Perrysville Avenue.

Yeah. What's up with all of the feces in the Strip District? I stepped in some too when I was running there one day!

Economics, public policy, and statistics are also an option, although some mathematical ability is required. With those fields you get to analyze and apply the data to real world problems. Right here in Pittsburgh we have world renowned data analysis organizations.

Yes! You'd be great at something like that.

First off: Thanks to all for the positive advise/suggestions/comments

Well we've made it 16 days in the month of June with only one homicide which was located in the bad part of Penn Hills (giving East End 76, & Penn Hills 11 homicides over the last 3.5 years). Perhaps overall crime will drop this year. Every other year our homicides tend to skyrocket and then fall again... Though as of now one thing is for sure... Which is that it's too early to comprehend... Yet I think we all can agree that the: Hill District, Penn Hills, & Duquense have had/are having a BAD year!
