Just musing here on where the President might stay tonight. Here's the thing: Anthrocon. The hotels downtown are pretty full. Anthrocon is at the convention center and their site states that the Westin, Omni William Penn, Doubletree and Courtyard are all sold out. Maybe they're only sold out of the convention rates, but still. Plus, that won't hold all of them most likely, so I suspect other hotels will be full. There's also a Catholic Press Association conference at the Wynhdam Grand.

So didn't Michelle Obama stay somewhere in Fox Chapel when she was here one time? I'm guessing the Prez will stay out there somewhere. Although, it would be really funny for him to stay in town amongst the furries.

So look for roadblocks tonight out there h_curtis, and tomorrow morning.

If we see a furry surrounded by Secret Service furries then you know something is up.

Maybe he's staying in a private home, a la Teresa Heinz's property.

Yes, that's what I'm suggesting. Private home in Fox Chapel area. I don't know whose. Doesn't Dan Rooney have a house there somewhere?

I believe he was at P&G diner in Millvale.

Yeah, I don't know if he will be in Oakland. The CMU Robotics is in Lawrenceville by the river.

People do know who Kerry is married to right? I suspect he will stay with T. Heinz which is close enough to my house, but not too close. I won't be affected by any road blocks. Last time I drove right by the Heinz estate without any issues when they were there. They keep the road clear. Her home is so far off the road up on a hill it cannot be seen at all and there is plenty of room for protection without disturbing anyone.

He went to the Strip District one I'm pretty sure. They have the signed picture of him up there. Michelle went to the Millvale one when she was here one time I think last year.

Oh, duh, it was during the G-20 that she went to Millvale: First lady hosts party in Fox Chapel; visits Millvale eatery | YourFoxChapel.com (http://www.yourfoxchapel.com/herald/article/first-lady-hosts-party-fox-chapel-visits-millvale-eatery - broken link)

The White House story: Pamela's pancakes rise to the Obamas' occasion

The photo in that one shows them at the Strip District location, which was actually during campaigning in 2008: Obama takes a liking to Pamela's pancakes

So there ya go. If the schedule permits, I'm sure he'll stop at one of those two locations, assuming he's staying at Theresa Heinz's place or similar out Fox Chapel way.

I wouldn't think any roadblocks once already at the house, true, just roadblocks when the motorcade is about to come through there on his way in or way out. That's all. Should only affect the roads out there maybe 30 minutes max each time, but if you try to come through there at the wrong time it could be a problem. And since we don't really know when, well, just be prepared this evening and tomorrow morning.
