Antney's Ice Cream update. Had a scoop of Hillbilly Pecan today. Vanilla ice cream with house toasted pecans and moonshine! Sounds weird, but it was delicious.

I never went there, but based on the menu and location I'm guessing it, like LeMont, specialized in outrageously overpriced Continental fare that fell out of vogue thirty years ago?

Pretty soon there won't be anyplace for well-off septuagenarians to eat.

fwiw, I could do w/o most continental fare. But coquille St. Jacques will always be welcome. Fortunately, I make a killer version since it's hard to find these days. Even hipsters love it.

I actually like old-school favorites when made exceptionally well and priced fairly. If LeMont upped their quality from a 6 to a 9 and slashed their prices by 1/3, I'd probably enjoy it every now and again.

New festival of all things pickled and cured to be held in Pittsburgh in July | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

This sounds awesome.
Actual web page link

Though I have to admit, the name of one of the sponsors kind of made me laugh...

Right? POS does not make me think 'point of sale'.
You and I must both be 12 years old...
