I don't believe many that comment on the pizza have ever been to NY and had the pizza. I also believe many haven't tried but a few pizza shops in da 'burgh. There's certainly good pizza. Just gotta find it.

Best pizza in Pgh. Better than most in NY. Try the Greenpointer.
Wow, that's way over in sLiberty, that's a scary place, n'at. Plus, I'd have to ride on a bridge over a river, kinda fraid to do that. Any chance SCR could deliver one to McCandless? I don't think it's as Soulless as Cranberry and I always tip 20%.

Taglio is so good, I'd cross TWO bridges to get there! AND maybe go through a tunnel!

Is it better than Dinette? If I'm going into the city to eat, it's not going to be pizza as I've got Il Piz, Bella Cucina and Claudio's right nearby already. I've made an exception for Dinette a couple of times.

I've never eaten at Dinette, perhaps because it isn't open for lunch, when I am more likely to eat pizza, but I like Taglio's pizza more than Il Pizzaiolo's (which I've only had once, though).

I'm never super impressed with Neapolitan style pizza. It's all sort of good, with the lone difference being the quality of ingredients being used. It's almost impossible to screw up.

I've only been to each once, but they're definitely both worth traveling for. If you end up at Taglio, do yourself a favor and try the Greenpointer if nothing else.

Chaz & Odette to open in former Toast! Kitchen & Wine Bar location in Shadyside | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Tough place, on a busy section of Baum. Maybe they will make a deal with the Luna garage for parking?

I dunno, does that sound really boring to anyone else?

Anyone been to The Vandal in Lawrenceville during their soft open? I went on Friday or Saturday early afternoon and tried everything. I don't understand why they're charging $10 for the burger and the salad was very plain. I will say though that the mac and cheese was excellent. Very sharp. Anyway, I'll return once they're open for real to see what else they have to offer.
