Has anyone mentioned Casa Rasta in Beechview? I've been there twice now and it is simply incredible. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Curry with coconut rice and it was one of the best dishes I've had anywhere in a long time.

Glad to hear that they're that good. Casa Rasta is opening another site over here on the North Side soon. The article says early June but I was over there, getting tacos at El Burro, last weekend and they weren't open yet.

how depressing

With El Burro also serving Mexican food on Federal Street, some residents have expressed concern about market competition, but Morrissey doesn’t anticipate a problem.
people don't want choice?
I've eaten at both el burro and casa rasta (tacos at both). both were decent but unspectacular, didn't compare to edgar's tacos in any way, shape, or form. I'll have to try the jamaican side of the menu next time.

I added a very negative review on Yelp! back in February, as this place ruined our Valentine's Day. It was my first and only foray into Indian "cuisine". The food was flavorless (no spice?), no naan was available to try, and it was only lukewarm. The server (if you could call him that) was very rude and ignored our request to see a menu. Not at all surprised to see they were shut down. I have no idea how they were always so busy. Are Pitt kids just this drunk all the time that they don't mind a side of roaches as long as the food's cheap enough?
