That baker does make good macarons. But there has to be more - I can't imagine macarons alone supporting a business in SqH.

Go to Millvale to get macarons and other stuff from Jean Marc. Awesome. Yes it def would be nice to walk there, but still worth a ride/drive/hitchhike/whatever.

I think I could survive on macarons alone, but agree I don't think a business could.

In Squirrel Hill... possibly. That neighborhood business district has some really niche businesses (Waffles, Gluten-free bakery, etc.).

Don't forget frozen yogurt (or fro-yo, as the trendy East End whippersnappers seem to be calling it these days). There are at least two of those alone I can think of in Squirrel Hill.

Well... fro-yo isn't too niche anymore... every neighborhood in the East End other than Polish Hill has a fro-yo joint these days.

Oh, for God's sake. The last time frozen yogurt was trendy, the Ford Pinto was thought of as a decent economy car. Microwave ovens were new. Dryer sheets had yet to saturate the marketplace. Men's underwear came in white only.
