I don't know what they have planned for the lot, but this an old bank branch for Allegheny Valley Bank.

It last served as offices for cultural arts, so I presume that those are the folks that have control over the lot

Looks like this:

I wish it was the parking garage next door.

It's always the buildings that get demolished.

Unfortunately my guess would be they're probably going to expand the parking lot. I really hope I'm wrong, though.

That makes sense, considering Pittsburgh's long and storied history with razing architecturally-significant properties for more surface parking while other cities are simultaneously increasing density in their cores.

Well property was included in the master RiverParc project, so if someone announces another project for this space that mean RiverParc plans must be altered significantly or is officially dead.

I don't think that building was architecturally significant...could be wrong though. I saw the remains from the parking garage Saturday and it didn't look too significant to my untrained eye.

That's too bad, it was a handsome little building and from past experience I doubt that what goes up in that spot will be as attractive.

That building was boring looking, nothing special. I hope something cool goes up in its place but I have my doubts.
