Ribs on the RiverAugust 14 - 16, 2009 The smell of the finger lickin ribs and the sound of some great rock 'n roll will once again fill the Ampitheatre at Station Square with 'Ribs on the River.'

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 14, 15 & 16 some of the country's largest national touring rib vendors will make their way into the Amphitheatre as the small of the ribs spreads across the 3 Rivers. Vendors include: Smokin Joe's Hog Wild BBQ, Sgt Oinks BBQ Company, Mojo's Ribshack, Pigfoot BBQ Company, My Happy Place BBQ and Pittsburgh's local entrant The Flame BBQ.

Entertainment from
the Iron City Houserockers and the reunion of the Buzz Poets on August 14th,

Donnie Iris and the Cruisers (his only summer Pittsburgh appearance) on Saturday, August 15th

and the Blue Oyster Cult on Sunday the 16th.

More bands to be announced.

Tickets are $10
Hours: Friday, August 14: Doors open at 6pm
Saturday, August 15: Doors open at 3pm
Sunday, August 16: Doors open at 1pm

What time is the concerts at the Heinz Field Rib Fest? I need to know before this weekend...As will be going to the 2 concerts this weekend.

I don't kow the whole lineup yet, but accoriding to WCLG's concert line (radio station from Morgantown, WV), The Outlaws will be there on Sept. 1.

where ever there is a food fest of any kind i notice the majority of the people are waayyyyyyy overweight and greedy. Then you have the people in shape that are appreciative. Think there is a need for a diet food fest an betcha their be more slender people then over weight people at that event.
