Plus I have it for emergencies, like watching channel 4 (I can't pick up any ABC channels where I am).
I have the same TV service as you, and it sounds like for the same reason. I actually wouldn't mind having a FEW channels (I like my baseball), but the Concast packages are screwy enough that they have to be driving away customers. Right now, the basic package is $12 or whatever, and if I wanted the next package up it would be $60.

$15 for Comcast TV basic service on 3 sets.
$25 for Comcast "Economy Internet." (Speed is 4 instead of 6)

I dropped their basic cable TV service so Internet went up to $40 since I only use one of their services.

$25 for Dish TV > 125 stations. Might be $35 now, but I only pay $25 and don't get any hassle from them. It goes off during our severe storms yet it makes a great antenna for picking up all the local stations during that short time. No missing of network sports.

I live only 12 miles from the point and Verizon doesn't service here except for land line phone which is around $16 a month. I use Tracfone for cell and because I don't make many calls and the minutes roll-over, about $30 a year.

My neighbor uses rabbit ears and doesn't have Internet.
