Barf! When are they going to shut that dump down? I'd send my kids to Empire Beauty School for a degree before sPitt.

Oh, dear God in heaven, you are an aggrieved class all by your lonesome. What did Pitt do to you?

I have to admit that I don't particularly like the campus. It's just kind of ugly, isn't it?

I have mixed feelings. It is great it is embedded in a dense, urban environment. It has some great buildings and some interesting spaces.

On the other hand, it has some pretty horrible buildings--some interesting in an academic way, but dysfunctional and not particular pleasing to the eye.

In general, the campus lacks cohesion and overall appeal. Which is somewhat odd because I generally like eclectic groupings of architecture, but somehow Pitt's campus manages not to present it well.

I've always liked the way Pitt looks, at least the parts along Forbes and Fifth from the dorms to the YIKC and the museums. I don't get up north of Fifth Avenue much. Is that the "dysfunctional" part with the "horrible buildings"?

I'm not a fan of the pair of cylindrical dorms between 5th & Forbes or the complex of concrete in the libray/law school/posvar hall area. Looks like hitlers bunker or something.
