Did that just not happen in Western Pennsylvania?
No, they ran those and the crying Indian ads. Also, had a campaign in the 70s in the City where there were signs on the trash bins and billboards that said something like "Pick it up, for Pete's sake" (Pete Flaherty was the mayor at the time.) So, we had anti-littering campaigns. They stuck with me, not sure why they didn't with others...

And there have always been no littering signs everywhere. Lately, the amount of litter seems to have increased from what it was before or for as long as I can remember anyway.

Too bad they couldn't implement the same red light surveillance camara technology to fine the polluters. I'm willing to bet that they could quadruple the amount of revenue and bring in millions of dollars by doing so!

Put me in the camp that hates power lines. Even the small town I lived in would run the power lines in the rear alleys. Underground lines makes even soulless Cranberry look good.
