So I'll go in another direction. Try western Allegheny county. Little towns like Imperial, Oakdale, Rennerdale, etc are surrounded by lots of land, and right on the edge of suburbia and country. Yet only a few minutes drive from the shopping mecca in Robinson and only 15 miles or less from downtown Pittsburgh.

But really, you could find what you want just about anywhere in this area. It's up to you where you want to live. You have many options.
Thanks for the help! It seems like everything is there within reach. I guess I'll have to come look hard....

Are there many RV parks in the general area? I would like to come up with the RV and move around to check out different areas........

My work has me traveling all over the country currently. I log around 40k to 50k miles a year and I have been getting more and more work around PA due to the increase in Oil and Gas activity there.

Also, I am looking to slow down on the traveling and try to stay in PA, NJ, OH and Virginia.......

As far as RV parks there are not many. We actually stayed in our RV when we first moved here..while we looked for a place. Mountain Top Campground in Pennsylvania ...is in Tarentum---closest one to the city I know of. But don't expect much...except great service from the owners. We were there a month in middle of winter and they let us use the bathroom in their house every day--plus helped us winterize our place. Fantastic people. But the campground only offers the basics--electricity and water/sewage.
There are other parks further north--toward Moraine State park.
