What's the dense block on the north shore of the Ohio River across from Brunot's Island? I know there's a jail over there, but isn't it mostly industrial parks? I can't figure out where there'd be >20,000 people/sq mile

yep, SCI Pittsburgh has its own census tract.

It brings me to one of the reasons why the West End seems more sparsely populated -- density = population / area. For some census tracts, the area covered includes large swaths of uninhabitable hillsides/creeks/parks/etc, so the actual density of populated parts will be understated.
