66 more things I love about Pittsburgh | Quirky Travel Guy

20 The defensiveness
Yes, this is charming. Pittsburghers may slag off their city a bit too much, but when someone from out of town does it, there’s a ****storm. Actress Sienna Miller found this out the hard way when she insulted the city while shooting a movie here a few years back and was forced to apologize. The local paper reported the story with the unforgettably awesome headline, “Semi-famous actress dumps on the Burgh.” Zing!

He said the Beehive had two rooms closed? Is this true? They arn't closing are they? That would really really suck. I use to love the Beehive. Every weekend I come home I try to walk down carson and stop at the Beehive.

Wow, I'm very surprised by #33 -- I love the soul nights here in Pittsburgh. All my friends in FL are jealous as hell that they have no such thing (and probably never will) down there!

Yep, when I went past the other day, both rooms are empty, just the corner is occupied/open now. I don't think they are closing, just cutting back.

I thought they were expanding into the space next to them that is currently under renovation? At least that's what I heard was happening.
