LOL it's time for the No Pants Subway Ride day again. Nice to have this falling on a day when it's a little bit warm for a change. Is this a big deal up there in Steel City? It strikes me as a quirky, Pittsburghian thing to do.

There's always a first time I guess, since there is more of a push to make it a wider event now. But yeah, haven't heard of that happening here so far.

Don't think that would fly here. Police wouldn't allow it. Too close to the bible belt. Of course there are some inner-city kids that wear their paints around their ankles, which has been a trend all the way back to the 80's and somehow that trend turned into a rut. Does that count?

It may be small, but it's there.

Of course that is probably not the ideal slogan in this context . . .

Our public transportation is a joke in and of itself. It doesn't need underwear to make it laughable.

Pittsburghers are sane and conservative, I don't think that going out without one's pants in the middle of winter will catch on here.

Particularly for staid south hillsites, which is who our subway caters to.

We don't seem to be on the official list for 2012. Salt Lake City is though, do they have a subway?

AFAIK they have a light rail system which can lay even less claim to "subway" than ours does, no underground sections at all. But they have someone who organized an event, unlike here apparently.
