I've been considering a move to the country when I go into gay retirement for my 30th birthday. lol. So far I am considering:

Brownsville
Steubenville
Uniontown
New Castle
Oil City
Johnstown
Youngstown
Erie
Lancaster
York

Let me know of any other cities I might be missing!

Brownsville is so desolate. I saw a few years on a WQED news story taht some married couple owns a bunch of those buildings in downtown that they seem to refuse to let anyone move in. I don't know of they still own the buildings or not, but it doesn't look good at all.

What the hell is "gay retirement?" Does that mean you're going straight or something?

Not Punxsatawney? You could relive the same day over and over, and isn't that every 30-year-old gay retiree's dream? Plus, who wouldn't love wearing those big top hats so you can pull a groundhog out of the dirt?

I have an odd fondness of Oil City. It's very much post apocalyptic, but it does have amazing (and pretty cheap) homes. They have a bit of a meth problem though.

Also, you seem to be casting your net far wider than just western PA. Maybe the folks in the general PA forum could chime in.

Lol gay retirement doesn't mean going straight. It just means settling in with your cats and antiques.

Didn't you say earlier that you also didn't want a relationship? If so, Bird-In-Hand might be just the place for you.
