Well Crawford Village used to be 50+ units; today far fewer of the units still standing are inhabited... Burns Heights in Duquesne wasn't too small either...
I think he ment close as in less than 30min and boarder to boarder McKeesport to Clairton, Clairton Duquesne, & Duquesne & McKeesport aren't that far

Physical distance in the Pittsburgh region doesn't count for much. You have to also look at the routes and methods to get from one place to another. The only two sensible ways to travel from McKeesport (or Duquesne) down to Clairton is to follow the river (Monongahela). You can take Rte. 837 and go through Dravosburg (and West Mifflin technically). That way is not walkable nor is there any public transportation that way. The other way is to stay on the McKeesport side; but then you have to go through Glassport...which is a buffer...and cross the bridge.

So I would not consider McKeesport and Clairton to be "neighbors". Years ago, Clairton people went to McKeesport for shopping and business. But today that isn't the case.
