Ever listen to Blu?
I saw Sage a few years ago when he played with Buck 65 (big fan of his). The show was pretty good and energetic.

Not familiar with Blu but I'll have to check him out. Do you like Charles Hamilton?

That was the show. I'm still bummed I missed it.

Yeah, Charles Hamilton is pretty decent. Check out Blu and Exile's record "Below the Heavens" when you get a chance. I bet you'll really, really dig it.

Yeah the brilliant so-called artists can put different words to some old beat that was invented in the 70's.

It was great to see real talent recognized this year, most notably, Adele. Niki Minaj looked like a complete fool.

I was happy for Adele. Nicki Minaj had the weirdest performance of the show. It seems like she's trying to be the Lady GaGa of hip-hop.

I like it!

I need some more exposure to good hip hop because I've been so soured on the genre for years due to all the mainstream garbage that's everywhere.

Not that I'm a huge fan of either. I saw Wiz in concert and he was pretty good, but I'll take Atmosphere, Immortal Technique, and Sage Francis over these dudes any day.
This makes me about 500% less depressed about this post.

And your favorite groups from the 70's are using notes and chords that were invented by some group or composer before them. It's rare that something entirely new is "invented" in music anymore, the majority is created via innovation.

That's absurd! There's no way world class artists from the 70's would steal songs!

Wait.... damn.
