Need a new Progressive Catholic Church

It's fascinating how people's minds work. There's so much advice here about picking a denomination based on the service and musical style. If you believe in some sort of Judeo-Christian dogma shouldn't you come at it from another angle?

I don't happen to be religious anymore (was raised devout Catholic), but I'd think you'd try to find the church/denomination that most closely reflected my beliefs. Mass is incredibly repetitive and boring IMO, but it meshes quite well with the teachings of the church. I agree with other posters that mass is pretty much the same everywhere, with slight musical variance. If you can't stand mass, perhaps there's a deeper issue you should address. Otherwise, if you really believe in the Catholic dogma and the rewards of eternal happiness, then manup and try to enjoy mass

I've been lapsed for a long time now, but are there any charismatic parishes in the Pittsburgh area? They tend to be tied to the Latino community (in order to compete with the growing Pentecostal movement), so I think not. But they tend to have the sort of "excitement" the OP is looking for.
