Back to the original topic, yes, professional baseball, (American) football & hockey here + fairly large college basketball following here with Pitt (this years embarrassing performance notwithstanding), a semi professional soccer (football) team, an indoor (american) football team, and you will also find some amateur rugby & cricket teams about.
Lots of golf courses as well if you're into that.
Which MLB team has spent the most money on the draft in the last 3 years? The Pirates. That`s what a small market team needs to do and that`s what the new management team is doing. They can`t be held responsible for what Dave Littlefield or whoever had done before.

You are in luck; baseball is pretty much as straight forward as you can get. You can learn all of the rules in about five minutes. Coupled with its relaxed pace, the simplicity of its rules is what makes baseball such a great sport to enjoy playing and watching with kids.

The Pirates are perpetually doomed. I can't believe that Burnette broke his face during bunting practice. I wish the National League would adopt the designated hitter. Selig is willing to make so many changes, why not?

On a random side note, I miss John Miller and Joe Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball.

Gene Collier has an interesting and as usual humorous column in today`s P-G regarding changes that need to be made.I like these two in particular. An electric shocking device that will be activated when a batter strolls out of the batter`s box and the elimination of batting gloves.
Collier: Time for baseball to enter high-tech age
