Thanks again for the quick replies! Now I'll be able to get to work on time for 5 PM without worrying about my brakes failing!
How old is your car? I had assumed after your accident that you purchased a new vehicle; however, if you paid $800 in maintenance that must not be the case.

I am not sure if I would give them any points for a handshake; a snake oil salesman will shake your hand, too.

I bought my car in November 2011 from Shadyside Honda. It's a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. I haven't been very happy with my purchase, but I only had one day to go shopping for a car.

I would have replaced your brake pads and rotors for a case of beer and a pizza. Rotors and pads are the easiest thing in the world as long as you have a lug wrench and a clamp.

And shaken your hand for free.
