I posted this question in another thread but think it's so buried I'm not really getting an answer.

Can anyone give me an estimate on travel time of the T from South Hills Mall T station to downtown in the AM?

Also, would it be better for any reason to use the bus instead? Thanks.

You can look it up on the Port Authority website, here: Port Authority - Home .
In my experience, the buses and T here are very punctual, except in snowy or icy weather, so this will give you an accurate idea.

During rush hour it is usually around 45, during off-peak it is less than 30 minutes.

When I used to live across the street from South Hills Village and commuted downtown, it took between 30-45 mins. My ex used to commute to Oakland from South Hills Village via T and the bus and the longest part of the trip was the commute in and out of Oakland. The whole trip took anywhere between 60-90 mins.

The T is the efficient, punctual, cheap, and easy way to get from the South Hills to downtown in my opinion.
