IMO Wilmerding over Pitcairn any day (in terms of reputation, vibe, and ugliness)
IMO Wilmerding is gritty, but safe... While Pitcairn is safe, but a bit rundown.

If you need any drugs, go to the now closed Elementary School, the house to the right is a crack house. If that doesn't work, got to where the Mellon Bank used to be, any drug you want.

Thank you for the link post to the Pitcairn Historical Society website. Pitcairn is a very nice town. It is close enough to the city to get to anything you want to do, but far enough removed to be a world away. It all depends on what you are looking for. There is not a town anywhere that does not have some sort of crime that happens. We are having our second annual Founder's Day celebration on June 9th if you would like to come and see more about the town.
