Sounds like he needs to be committed.

They can tear down the building while he's in Western Psych.

And make sure he's properly medicated before they release him back into society.

Um, I wouldn't say the following and be quoted in a major media outlet:

"If I'm screwed over, if they don't have a place for me to go to, I'll get as much money as I can from them, give it all to my wife and my two sons, sign everything out of my name, buy four burial plots, pick out a casket, a pre-paid funeral, and do what I think is fair," he said. "Die for the building."

Any respect or compassion I thought I "found" for this situation has been completely lost. What a moron. Frankly, shouldn't his comments get him "looked at" or something. It is quoted in the media for Pete's sake.

I think they should. It's terrorism. When he blows something up, they can't say there weren't signs.

Honestly, part of me wants him to "win" - just so I could see his face when he realizes that section of 28 will be a no-access road, with a shoulder barrier making it impossible for cars to pull into his ratty garage even if they wanted to.

When this story first rolled out, all I could think was, "man... stupid stubborn Yinzer." But then I backpedaled and gave the guy a break and thought I was being insensitive...

So now suddenly he busts out with the Aryan rhetoric and how he'd rather "die on the spot" than give up the business...

And so I've returned my line of thought back to "man... stupid stubborn Yinzer."

What a story... XD

It's time for eminent domain. You can't stop progress. Why isn't my grandfather's leather company no longer Downtown? He had to move to build the Crosstown Expressway. That's why. This Route 28 project is twenty plus years in the making. It is finally being put to reality for an outdated road seving thousand living points east and north of Downtown, and this a**hole wants to stir the pot, or is smoking pot or something.

If he were smoking pot, he wouldn't want to fight.

He'd just say, "Whatever, dude. It's just a building in the grand scheme of the beautiful universe. [long pause] What were we talking about again?"

Goodness, just relocate the damn business for goodness sake. That location was crap. He is lucky to get that kind of money for that dump. Plus what about thinking about the countless people trying to get around. He wants 100's of thousands of people to suffer to keep that POS building? Come on! Take the money and open up something better. That place was a hole at best.
