sure, you can get away with omitting the city/town, but hades help you if you forget the zip code and bring down the wrath of alan funt!

It has been a gazillion years since I wrote my address on a letter or parcel. Typically I have to do it when ordering something online, and they still require my city (although I agree with the zip it doesn't make much sense--maybe it is a redundancy/error-correction thing).
