Pittsburgh's new multi-space parking meters debut next week - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

I'm glad I know my license plate number! I like that you don't have to go back to your car like you do with every other multi-space meter I've used in other towns.

They're missing a golden opportunity not linking it to Connect Cards.....

Connect Cards should be Universal way to pay for Transportation in the Burgh....PAT, Parking Garages, Parking Meters, even in Cabs.

That's a good idea, but I'm not sure they have actually missed an opportunity, since as yet almost no one has Connect.

By the way, that box with a radio symbol is likely a NFC device, which means it should be able to read cards like Connect.

Just wanted to make sure that functionality was there for future implementation. Its good to know they will be able to integrate into the ConnectCard system.
