Follow the links. Their contributions to anti-gay organizations are very well-documented.

Gay-bashing as a marketing strategy may be a tough sell in court.

How else would spending Popeyes' corporate funds on anti-gay organizations increase their profits if not through some sort of marketing effect?

Incidentally, I am pretty sure the Cathys direct the spending of Chick-fil-a funds on anti-gay organizations just because they are anti-gay, not because they think it is good business.

Goodness, Brian, what is up for derailing this thread? It is a Popeye's thread, not a Chick Fil A thread. Chick is privately held and they do and say as they please because last I checked this is the US of A. If you don't like their stance on whatever, don't eat there. Simple. Seems they are doing VERY well AND they are closed on Sundays. Yep, a fast food place CLOSED on Sunday!! Great for those that work there to actually have a day off!!

Anyway, I saw an add for Popeyes and the chicken fingers. Not a fan of fingers, but they did look good. I do like their chicken better than KFC. They will probably do well if they keep the place clean. That Wendy's was dirty. Dirty isn't good.

Pittsburgh Business Times takes a look at Popeye's glorious return to the Pittsburgh market... article behind paywall...

Popeye?s already making its return to Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Business Times

Before local diners have a chance to miss Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits, which closed its remaining few locations in the region in April, a new franchisee already has signed on for his first location of a revamped version of the restaurant here — and others are expected to be on the way.

John Laylock, a Plum Borough native, and his brother-in-law, Terry James, signed a lease for the former Wendy’s on Fifth Avenue in Oakland...

Wasn't the rent for that corner super duper expensive, which is why it stayed closed for so long?

The old Popeye's in the Waterfront closed and is now becoming a hotel. Weird.
