Been thinking about this and it is really perfect timing. Car vs. bike is really huge right now and both are at fault in many ways, but as things settle down, I think there can be great coexistence between both. People just need to adjust to those young folk who don't have a car. That number WILL be increasing over the years. Times are very different.

Anyway there will be some media and hopefully be then Pittsburgh will have some pride in how wild the change is. Don't underestimate people around here. There are always going to be battles out there, but an overall feel is what will be strived for. I know we will never be Copenhagen, but if you challenge our region in the right way and make cycling safe for the masses, watch out. I am not delusional... well at least I hope not... I do realize this is a decade off, but that is not very long. I will still be cycling if still alive.

Walkability is actually a fairly complex topic. There's a reason you don't see many people walking down Bigelow Blvd even though there are sidewalks, a park, and bus stops.
