Biggert Manor is very nice. My niece and nephew live down that way on S. Grandview. I think they ride their bikes around Biggert.
Actually, come to think of it, I learned to ride my bike on two wheels on S. Linwood on that flat section just before the intersection w/ Ewing.

We continue to hope that one of the streets you mention, Lighthouse, will pop up soon...preferably one in decent shape and/or a garage. We had our hopes set on one on S. Linwood but it was taken off the market. You seem to be in the know about Crafton and I really appreciate any insight, leads or tips you have or can provide. But, yes....Biggert Manor is great

Like most places these days, there are plenty of houses on the market in Crafton these days. Many are very nice and well maintained. I haven't kept up on the asking prices, but I know they're generally lower than other parts of the country. If you appreciate older homes, Crafton has plenty - many over 100 years old.

We really like Crafton but the school situation is preventing us from buying there. Just too much uncertainty...especially now that Roslyn Farms is leaving the district. I'm sure Crafton will come out of it OK but the unknown is giving me pause. I'm sure other families are in the same boat. We are instead focusing on Ingram where the taxes are lower and the schools are a safe bet.

I can understand the uncertainty with the school district situation. You might consider St. Philip school. It's a K-8 Catholic parochial school with a very good reputation. Tuition is very reasonable for a private education. I know several non-Catholic families who have their children enrolled there
