Baldwin.. Brentwood!?!?! NO WAY haha. Where do you know of?

If they get moved to rival neighborhoods their'd be a problem. And I know they didn't move to Brentwood since there has been any incidents reported on the news. I'm guessing the Prospect Park, Leland Ponte, and Parkford Apartments were big target areas then.[/quote]

Parkford is already full to my knowledge Uptown Kid. I don't know how many of you know about that place in South Park, not many do except if you were born in the South Hills. For a suburban apartment complex, its a relatively dangerous area.

I thought Leland Point has been trying to drive out lower income residents?

Leland Point has been renamed again. What was once "The Knolls", then "Baldwin Court", then "Green Meadows", then "Leland Point", is now "The Residences At South Hills". This place is quickly becoming full of foreigners, and I expect the crime will drop dramatically.

I asked this in another thread as well but it's more appropriate here. Do any of you know what the "CHU" tag represents? It's popped up on a bunch of signs in Highland Park recently.

That map is awesome though Uptown, really detailed work. Thanks for putting it together.

Thanks... Yah I've also seen "CHU" tags all over Highland Park, throughout the East End and even in Sharpsburg. Yet idk what/who it is or what stands for, but I'm sure it's not gang related... I'd go with the answer on the other thread.

CHU isn't gang related. It is just a tagger sort of like Mook, MFONE or kids from years back.

Maybe this is a good thread to ask - what do the shoes thrown over utility lines mean? I saw a bunch - like 6 or 7 - pairs across the median on Bigelow Blvd. this morning, maybe half a mile or so before Herron (coming from Downtown). Have they always been there? Is it like some sort of joke, or does it have real meaning?

Like graffiti pairs of shoes thrown on to a utility line doesn't always mean anything serious... Yet its main purpose is: for idividual drug dealers/crews/gangs to signal to others that they operate in the area. Although kids might just do it to be cool... Multiple shoes thrown could indicate a power struggle of X or Y corner between individual drug dealers, or that a crew/gang operates in that area or that just a group of meddling kids is vandalizing the area.
My take on Bigelow Bvld is that it's either kids vandalizing the area or a power struggle between drug dealers in Polish Hill. I'm pretty sure it's not connected to gang related things in the Hill.
(P.S.~it's not very recent, they've been there for probably six months now and it seems increasing...)
