The small one in the Penn Hills shopping center plaza. Does anyone happen to know how old this place is? I haven't been able to find out from research online, and my husband and I are curious as to how long they've been able to stay in business, being such a cheap, throwback theater. We actually both like the theatre, whenever they're playing something worth seeing (which isn't overly often, unfortunately), due to it being incredibly cheap compared to regular theatres, not having to drive far, and the fact that it plays first run movies.

At least since 1970 and likely before that.

Hi, I'm the current owner. According to date stamps on some of the original fixtures it looks like the building went up in 1966. If you ever have any questions about the place you can always ask in person. We like to chat about the history of the theater.

Thanks very much. Good to know. My husband and I both really like the theatre, and I try to talk it up when I can. It doesn't always get the movies we want to see (I know from Facebook posts that you guys aren't always approved to get copies of some of the movies you want to show), but we like to go just to go sometimes. It's a very underrated place.
